Sheila Olson, CEO
Ms. Olson has been in the healthcare field since 1986. She has worked primarily in diagnostic imaging, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. She has consulting experience in all aspects of revenue cycle management, RIS/PACS and HIS evaluation and implementation and has pursued post-graduate coursework in Public Administration. Ms. Olson is a member of AHIMA and has lectured on revenue cycle management and best business practices. She is active in several local charities. She resides in Southern Maryland with her two youngest children and her English Bulldog Lucy.
Diane Baxtrom, Director of Operations
Ms. Baxtrom began her career as a paralegal for a prestigious firm in Washington, DC, before she was hired by Advance HIS to become Director of Operations. Ms. Baxtrom has excellent organizational skills and is well-known for the highly competent and professional level of service she provides to our clients. She has extensive experience in word processing and health documentation software programs. She resides in Southern Maryland with her husband and youngest daughter and her two Boxers, Maggie and Winnie.

Advance HIS is pleased to have a wealth of talented associates with varied backgrounds, including transcription in most medical specialties, certified coders, human resources professionals, medical equipment purchasing agents, and IT technicians. We have associates in seven states. 1. Can you work with our existing RIS/HIS software?
Yes, we can! One of the best features of working with AHIS professionals is that we are able to work with your products either through direct input into your system or by developing an interface using our IT consultants so that our products work seamlessly with yours.
2. Do you have a dictation system our practice can utilize? Is there are large investment to get started?
To utilize our most basic services, all your practice will need is a digital recording device. There are various hand-held and desktop recorders that turn your dictation into sound files that can easily be either encrypted and securely e-mailed to our transcription team, or we can provide you with an FTP solution. We will be happy to consult with you to provide the best choice for your practice.
3. What geographical areas do you serve?
While our main office is in the Maryland/DC area, we have experienced HIM professionals in 7 states.
